going to be another random post i think..

today is teachers' day.. in the good old school days, it's alot about going around giving presents to teachers and the kind of gift reflected how much u like or hate (though some might say hate still give gift? lol..) the teacher.. but as we all grow up and age further and further away from those days, teachers' day might just be any other day for us, esp since we dont get a school holiday.. a few weeks ago, i read this line somewhere when out of curiosity, i went to browse the ready made teachers day card at some gift shop.. it said "So many teachers touch our lives along the way. But only a few leave their mark indellibly. The more lasting the impression, the more that teacher cared".. i cant help but agree with that..

but i guess it's not easy to forget how some teachers inspired you, how some gave so much to us students, though their pay might just be the same as the one teaching across the block who cares less (no particular teachers i have in mind.. honest..), some teachers u just love to hate or hate to love who turned out to be some nice teacher who is not what you think he/she is, the DM who comes after you perhaps for the slightest not easily noticeable break of the school rules, etc.. indeed, there are all kinds of teachers out there, especially now when teachers are never in a shortage and many people's back up plan is to become a teacher when all else fails.. the good, the bad, the ugly.. u name it, i think you can find it.. for me, being a teacher is not a back up plan.. had been aspiring to be one till one day i started aspiring to be a teacher.. so being a teacher is not a back up plan, it's more of an alternative for me i guess... perhaps that's why besides being an msw, i might consider being a social worker in a school.. sounds like combining 2 aspirations into one? haha.. no, i dun wan to be a zuo bo school sw, i want to do something for them..

a Happy Teachers' Day to all my teachers out there, whether they have forgotten me or not, at least i've not forgotten them.. especially thanks to those who did left their marks indellibly..

had a good saturday afternoon.. went to watch ratatouille with yihui.. was a funny show.. partly cos i'm an easily amused person.. haha.. of course it has its touching bits too.. not sure whether cos i think too much or what, but somehow, i see the resemblance of the show in the society we're in.. i mean being different from the norm is not easy.. having to gain acceptance, feeling the confusion, trying to make a mark in this 'normal' society, trying to prove yourself, etc.. just like remy, not the most conventional kind of rat you would associate with when you hear the word 'rat'.. but luckily, remy found somebody who didnt mind its difference, it had a family who was supportive in the end, and of course not forgetting its own determination to want to prove itself.. on the other hand we have linguini who carried the burden from the previous generation.. it had been hard being himself with his big secret, the high expectations people have of him, etc.. but thanks to his friendship with remy, they proved that anyone can be successful.. i didnt want to spoil the fun by telling too much about the movie details as i try to want to blog about my after thoughts of the movie.. hmmm, all movies have something to convey be it openly or hidden.. or maybe it's just being me who's thinking too much into a small thing.. haha..

shoots, read that lampard is injured.. he wont be playing in tomorrow's match.. unfortunate.. but still gonna catch the match.. cos i'm not only a lampard fan but also a blues fan.. lol.. heard aston villa are strong opponents...
