last sunday, after almost a decade (hmm.. i'm making myself sound so old.. haha..), we finally had a 6/1 gathering all thanks to yong chun.. 12 of us turned up, excluding mr lim.. that is like one quarter of the class but then i think it definitely was already a good turn out.. in fact mr lim thought the most only 4-5 of us will turn up.. had marche rosti(which about half of all of us there got..) and we sat there for quite some time just talking, chatting, catching up.. really, i loved that feeling.. talked about the memorable primary school days, and yong chun even brought the class photos that we'd taken and those science badges, super reader badges!! oh gosh.. i have them too, nicely pinned on a piece of cloth.. i remember we all worked so hard for it and i think not many had all 12 badges.. of course i was one of those who didnt have 12 la.. lol..

we were talking about how mr lim called us this pile of shit at the beginning of our p5 and how he had polished us into nice diamonds at the end of p6.. he was happy to see all of us doing well now.. in fact he told us from our year till now, nobody had done as well in PSLE as our batch.. though i wasnt one of the top students but i dont deny that i didnt do very badly.. we also talked about the funny things that we had done, the 'barbershop treatment', and how we still bought wooden rulers though we know they'll be used on us some day, the 'stop running, go back and walk away', etc.. just so many things to remember from the zps days..

mr lim is no longer teaching but had set up his own company to continue his passion for teaching.. it wasnt difficult to still sense his passion for teaching, something which i really admire since he had been teaching for 20 plus years before he left zhangde..

after the lunch at marche, we took quite a number of photos.. haha.. it was funny how we decided to take photos based on groups that we belonged to eg mini tennis, science club, prefects and the miscellaneous group.. lol.. and the girls were seriously outnumbered.. 2 girls vs 10 guys.. haha.. some of us looked different, some of us still looked about the same, but nonetheless it was heartwarming a gathering.. a strange (cos we hvn seen each other for so long) yet familiar kind of feeling..

then, most of us decided to go singing.. haha.. nice session as well and for most of us, i guess it's the 1st time we're hearing each other sing.. lol.. 4 hrs of singing.. shiok.. haha.. i think on the whole, i was really happy that day, so much so that i almost forgot what's going to happen the following day.. could sense that i was like talking quite alot, relating the day's experience to my mum and sis.. hahaha..

so the next day came and i had my driving test.. wonderful.. passed it on my 1st attempt.. i guess partly cos the tester didnt look too fierce and intimidating.. haha.. and i had the mentality to go fail.. guess that helped to calm my nerves and made me less stress.. but my sis said i pass make her stress.. lol.. oops, not my fault right? haha.. anyway my dad say he shall let me drive them out on sunday.. wahaha.. quite scary actually.. guess will need some time to get used to ba.. haha..

haha, i'm a happy girl..

it was cool to hear the 3 songs from enchanted the movie during oscars.. cos i really loved the songs.. though none won but to be nominated is a feat.. to have 3 nominated is a big feat.. lol.. in fact they kinda helped me pull through the stress of my driving test.. haha.. i loved the emcee of oscars.. he was so super funny and i guess being in that country of theirs, they do not seem to worry what comes out of their mouths will offend anybody (eg, they could just make fun of politicians!! try doing it here openly on national tv, see what kind of treatment you'll get).. so just one word to say: *admiration*

went for befriending just now.. not bad, interesting session.. at least the befriendees showed signs of missing us and at least they remebered who we are, so we are not forgotten.. but this year definitely is a almost 360 degree change cos almost all the befrienders were different.. can see that the new befrienders will have some work to do to bring the kind of friendship that we had shared with the befriendees.. and i guess the befriendees do need some time to adjust as well..

nonetheless, been a happy week so far.. hope that continues through this break week.. hee..
